Chai Tea Latte ~ Homemade

Chai Tea Latte with Vanilla
is my preferred indulgence
whenever I go to Starbucks.

Y.U.M.

Recently, I was there
with a friend and our
two little girls.
As, per usual, I ordered
my usual.

And my friend asked if
I wanted the recipe for a
homemade Chai Tea.
You know what I said, right?

Yup.
That's right.

So, now I can share with you!
Are you excited?
You should be! :)

Measure out 1 cup water per
tea bag and set in a pot to boil.
(I really like this made with
Vanilla Rooibos...but,
any regular tea will do!)

Reduce heat to simmer and add
1 heaping teaspoon each of
the following whole spices (not ground) ~
Cardamom, Cloves, Fennel, and a Cinnamon stick.
Simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes
with lid partially vented.

Add in a heaping teaspoon of brown sugar
and 1 cup of full fat milk.

Heat through, but do not boil.
Strain and serve.

This recipe makes enough for one
GIANT mug or two regular sized ones...
with no option for seconds.

Enjoy!!

Thank you my sweet
friend for sharing! :)

Many Blessings,
Camille

Yummy for the Tummy!

Ever crave a mug of hot cocoa?
Like to add in a marshmallow or two?
Don't give into the craving because it is SO unhealthy?

How would you feel about it if you could
make your own *healthy* hot cocoa and marshmallows?

Jump on the bandwagon!

Check out my friend Jackie's recipes for both
Hot Cocoa and Marshmallows.

What are you waiting for??
Enjoy! :)

Thirst Quencher ~ For All Ages!

How do you quench your thirst on a hot summer's day?
We've been having another HEAT wave!
The children always ask for
L.E.M.O.N.A.D.E.

And it must be
H.O.M.E.M.A.D.E.

We quench the thirst of the masses...
or at least the neighbourhood children ~
whoever comes when I call gets a glass.

~ Camille's Lemonade ~

Squeeze the juice from as many lemons as it takes to make 1 & 1/2 cups of juice ~
I use organic lemons
Add about 10 cups of water (including the water used in the ice cubes)
Stir in 1 & 1/2 cups sugar ~ I use organic evaporated cane juice

Adjust to taste ~
This is not an exact recipe...
make it your own.

It may be too sweet or strong for you...
add more lemons, water or sugar to make it ~
P.E.R.F.E.C.T.

Be forewarned ~
your customers will appear out of nowhere!

~ Enjoy! ~
