If we delight in the LORD alone,
then, everything is brighter.
Even in the dark.
Beginning to learn this truth here these days ~
Beginning to learn this truth here these days ~
Our delight ought to be found only in HIM.
It's easy when life is easy to delight in the gifts
rather than in the Giver.
Too easy.
But, when things are difficult, and life is hard ~
Too easy.
But, when things are difficult, and life is hard ~
It's then that we come to terms with these things.
It's then that we realise what brings us joy.
True joy.
True joy.
Is it found in stuff? Good health? Happiness?
Or, is it found in its completeness
in the LORD Jesus Christ?
in the LORD Jesus Christ?
In HIM alone?
It's a struggle. Our hearts are deceitful.
But, when all is stripped away, what's left is what matters.
If we find nothing there, then we must refocus.
Regain our footing. On the Rock.
In the end, all that matters is HIM.
Most of us will not be asked to live as those in persecuted lands do.
In prison for their faith. Beaten for believing.
Torn from family, friends, and home.
They have been stripped of all that is dear.
But, have they? Really? No, not if their joy is found in HIM.
Oh, that this lesson would be learned without the suffering.
Too often, it isn't.
Suffering very often is exactly what we need.
It's what drives us deeper into the Saviour.
Deeper into His arms. Deeper into His Word.
Only there will true peace and contentment be found.
Only in Him is lasting joy realised.
Not in stuff. Not in health. Not in happiness.
In Jesus Christ. Alone.
Much Love,
Camille
