Sometimes kids books are made into PG-13 moves, and sometimes PG-13 movies are made into kid-appropriate books. All books/movies are for the age range listed. :)
Kids (8 and under)

Teens (12-18)
- War Horse
 - The Bible (TV miniseries)
 - The Hiding Place
 - Left Behind
 - Killing Lincoln (made for TV docudrama)
 - Killing Kennedy (made for TV docudrama, releasing November 2013)
 - The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
 - The Chosen (you can view the movie free on Hulu)
 - The Count of Monte Cristo (EXCELLENT Jim Caviezel movie on YouTube)
 - Les Miserables
 - The Help
 - Flywheel, Facing the Giants, Fireproof, Courageous
 - The Lost Valentine (Hallmark movie, TEARJERKER!)
 - The Woman Who Wasn't There (documentary, book)
